Om Sri Sairam.

As per Shirdi Guru’s Divine desire and Vision, we have been inspired to build a temple for Him in Trichy District, Tamilnadu.  This Temple will be an epitome of religious harmony, following the message of Shirdi’s Prabhu.  The Temple will be called the Shirdi Guru Temple of Peace.

The story of origin of this magnificent temple of Baba started in the year 2003 when our family was in distress.  My father was down with paralysis. I had already lost my mother long ago. My husband was unemployed.  I’m the only daughter of my parents working for a private firm in junior management level. We were a normal middle class family, which wouldn’t stand such a great blow.  With my meagre income, I had to run the family as well as look for the treatment of my father.  All that we had was faith and patience towards Lord Sai.  It was prayer, prayer and only prayer every moment.   Days became months but my father’s condition didn’t seem to improve.  My faith in Guru became steadfast.  As my father’s condition was getting critical, I couldn’t go to work.  I took a long leave and stayed at home spending my time doing my best to save my father and submitting myself to Baba.  I started reading Sai Satcharita and wanted to finish it in Saptamam. Six days passed. 

It was early morning of the seventh day and I was in deep sleep.  I could see Baba clad in white kurta coming to me.  He asked me for Dhakshina. I told him, “Oh Baba, I’m a poor miserable woman.  What Dhakshina would I be able to give you?” Baba’s reply was simple and soft.  “Build an abode for me and start making people rich with peace of mind”.  I obeyed and my Lord vanished.    When I woke up I realized it was only a dream.  But that day onwards my father’s health had a sudden remarkable change.  He started uttering babbles and slowly started to move his hands.  My happiness was beyond words.  Now, after two years my father is stable and fully recovered.  Six months later my husband got his employment in a private company with a nominal income.

From then on, our efforts for building this abode for Shirdi Sai started.  I’m a native of Trichy.  Hence we decided to build the abode for our Lord in our native soil. Thus the place for our Guru’s temple was selected.   Since it is a mammoth effort involving lakhs of rupees for the construction of temple and the pure marble statue of Baba, we seek the help of Sai devotees who are the real treasures of Baba.  Even a 100 rupee given as donation into this project will mean a milestone in this sincere effort of ours.  We request every Sai devotee to contribute generously their best and make us succeed in bringing Sainath’s command and vision to life.
